1. Provider and scope
TypeSteward is created and supplied by Sascha Fronczek, Alter Schlachthof 11b, Atelier B2, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany. These terms apply to the licence and use of the TypeSteward macOS application. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
2. Product
TypeSteward is a local-first desktop application for font conversion, font-family metadata repair, and the transfer of kerning or metrics. It writes new output files, preserves the supplied originals and produces verification reports. Supported operations still depend on the structure and technical condition of each input font.
The optional full trial lasts seven consecutive days from its first successful online activation on one installation. Reinstalling the app or requesting activation again does not restart or extend that period. After the period ends, inspection and planning remain available, while writing new font output requires a paid licence.
3. Licence grant
A completed one-time purchase grants the named licence holder a perpetual, non-exclusive right to use TypeSteward major version 1. The licence is verified locally, is not tied to a specific Mac and does not require online activation. The licence holder may install it on Macs they control for their own work. The application and licence file may not be sublicensed, shared or redistributed, except where a transfer right cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Your font rights
You must have the necessary rights to inspect, convert, repair or modify every font you process. TypeSteward does not grant rights in third-party fonts and does not determine whether a particular font licence permits an operation. You remain responsible for the inputs and for reviewing the plan, output and verification report before using a result.
5. Price and payment
The advertised price is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Orders are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record and handles payment, applicable taxes, invoices, buyer support and returns. Paddle shows the binding localized total before you pay.
6. Delivery and updates
After payment is confirmed, the purchaser receives the application download and a signed offline licence file. The purchase covers maintenance updates within major version 1. It does not include a future paid major version. Keep a secure copy of the licence file and contact us if delivery fails.
7. Refunds
Refunds and statutory withdrawal rights are described in our Refund Policy and Paddle’s applicable buyer terms. Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable rights under applicable law.
8. Defects and liability
Statutory rights for defective digital products apply. We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and where liability is mandatory by law. For ordinary negligence involving an essential contractual duty, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise, liability for ordinary negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
9. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your habitual residence.
